Care guide

• Always keep tatami dry to prevent mould or mildew.
• Clean with a slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaning solutions. When vacuuming, follow the direction of the weave — going against it can damage the surface or push dirt deeper into the material — and use the lowest suction setting where possible.
• Tatami is sensitive to moisture, so allow air to circulate above or beneath it. Air it out occasionally, ideally on dry, sunny days.
