The design

Resö is a stackable dining chair by Matilda Lindblom, made for outdoor cafés, restaurants and busy family terraces. Its light, open silhouette is comfortable and practical, and the chairs stack neatly when not in use.

Add a grey seat cushion for extra comfort.

Materials and comfort

The chair is made of galvanised steel, painted charcoal grey, a durable material for all weather conditions. The optional seat cushion is made in grey Agora Panama Fossil outdoor fabric.

Outdoor fabrics

Skargaarden's outdoor fabrics are solution-dyed: the colour is added while the fibres are made, so it runs right through every fibre rather than sitting on the surface. This makes them highly UV-resistant, so they keep their colour in the sun, and they come with a minimum 5-year warranty. Fabrics woven with recycled fibres can vary slightly in colour.

• Brush off dirt regularly before it works into the fabric, and deal with spills straight away.
• Blot liquid spills with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub. For oily spills, sprinkle on corn starch to absorb it, then scrape it off.
• For stains, spray on a mild soap solution, work it in gently with a sponge or very soft brush, rinse thoroughly and let the fabric air dry.
• The fabrics do not grow mildew themselves, but it can grow on dirt left on them. To remove it, mix about 250 ml bleach and 60 ml mild soap in 4 litres of water, spray over the whole area, leave for 15 minutes, clean with a sponge or soft brush, rinse well and air dry. Treat the whole surface to avoid water rings.

Stacking

The chairs stack to save space when stored. Place a cloth or piece of cardboard between each chair when stacking to protect the finish from scratches.

Winter storage

• Store the furniture indoors, or cover it with a breathable cover. A cover that is fully airtight traps moisture and can cause mould.
• Leave a small gap between the cover and the ground so air can circulate.
• Store the cushions separately, indoors and out of reach of pests.
