Karup Design TRADITIONAL Futon

A classic all-cotton futon mattress, 13 cm thick. A small amount of polyester (5–10%) is blended into the cotton to give it more density and staying power than traditional Japanese bedding, while keeping the same natural feel. Firm support that gradually moulds to your body — equally at home on a slatted bed base or laid out on the floor.

Care guide

• Use a sheet to help protect the mattress and keep it looking neat.
• Turn and rotate the futon regularly so it keeps its shape, airs well and wears evenly — turn it 180°, swapping the head and foot ends, roughly every 3 to 4 weeks.
• Vacuum the surface to lift dust. For stains, dab gently with a slightly damp, colourless cloth and a little clear washing-up liquid, then lift any excess moisture with a dry cloth or paper towel.

Each futon is handmade, so small differences in size and weight are natural.
